I think when decorating we are so worried about making it look just perfect that we are losing some opportunity of a perfect piece because it is not "intended" for that spot.
I challenge you to think outside of the box on one piece of furniture for your home. A short dresser is a great piece of storage for games, extra linens, or your decorating ideas drawer (what you don't have one?) and can be used in a lot of the same places a traditional book case would be placed. A large dresser would make a great entertainment center and the drop down tables I love as bed side tables.
